About Us

In 2010, the RBS Cycling Team enjoyed amazing success both in racing and in the community. Our team of over 60 riders participated and found success in over a 100 local, regional and national events such as the Leadville Trail 100, United States Cycling Michigan State Championship Series and a multitude of charitable and community events. 2010 was also our inaugural year for the Trek Women Breast Cancer Awareness ride in which we had nearly a 100 riders participate, raising over $2500 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Each year our riders pedal tens of thousands of miles of hard training, trail and social riding that equates to thousands of hours. Add in all the exposure at races, charity events, local group rides and in the media and you will soon find out that cycling reaches deep into the community.

For 2011 we will have over 60 riders competing and riding nationwide in over a 100 races and events. Each year the season culminates with the Iceman Cometh Challenge. Over the past 21 years the race has developed in to North America's largest mountain bike race with over 4,000 competitors and over 10,000 spectators. In 2010 we had over 20 riders competing across all levels of ability with four riders winning their age categories.

For 2011 we have decided to make a few changes and build on the success of 2010. 2011 sees the formation of the RBS Trek MTB Team that will concentrate on a number of National, Regional and State races where our riders will be pitched shoulder to shoulder against the industry's biggest brands and names. Our Cycling Team is being improved and better supported, it will accommodate a multitude of riders across a range of abilities from seasoned experts to recreational sport riders who will compete in a whole host of local, regional and national races. The Cycling Team also helps strengthen the foundation of local and community efforts to reach out and help various charities, foundations and events, promoting the healthy lifestyle that cycling provides. All in all we will welcome 60 plus riders back to the team which does not include the 100's of jerseys we sell in our store each year.
